💡 ESMIG’s working groups tackle key issues for the energy industry, tapping into the expertise and experience of our members. Here we tell you more about their activities, task forces and hot topics on the agenda! 👇 🔎 Focusing on demand side flexibility and consumer engagement, the Empower Prosumers Working Group tackles interoperability issues and identifies solutions that support a better integration of demand side in the energy market.   With smart meters being an essential part of the foundation for the whole energy transition eco-system, they play a vital role for enabling demand side management!   💬 Chair, Ferry Cserep, explained that the group will this year ‘’study various energy management standards that exist or are being created by the formal standardisation committees. It is crucial for ESMIG and members to understand how these standards relate and what the prevailing ones will be.’’   With two key task forces, work is ongoing in: ➡ the H1 Task Force, developing interoperability requirements for real-time interface (H1) of the electricity meter ➡ the Interoperability Demo Task Force, developing an architecture that combines the different solutions of ESMIG’s members into one interoperable architecture for metering and demand side management.
