Singapore's Vena Energy has successfully launched the Amazon Solar Project Australia – Wandoan, a 125MW venture in Woleebee, Queensland. Comprising over 250,000 solar panels, the project is poised to supply renewable energy to over 60,000 Australian households annually. Amazon Web Services, committed to achieving 100% renewable energy by 2025, lauded the initiative for fostering sustainability in Australia. Vena Energy, the project's owner and operator, emphasizes its role in the larger Wandoan South Project, boasting 650MW solar and 450MW battery storage. The completed solar project generated around 220 jobs during peak construction, with 30% of the workforce sourced locally, contributing over 15% to awarded contracts. 👏 👏 PT PLN (Persero) has reduced ESG risk by 8 points in 2023, achieving a rating of 30.3 - the lowest in ASEAN's electricity sector! The Indonesian government-owned electricity company also successfully cut GHG emissions by 9.7 million tons in 2023, while adding 296MW of new renewable energy-based generation. PLN has also been actively contributing to the electric vehicle ecosystem by supplying electricity to 1,081 SPKLU units.
