“Germany's #smartmeter rollout presents both challenges and opportunities. While the hardware and software are available, resource constraints and data uncertainties could hinder progress. Obtaining a comprehensive picture of the grid requires not just the § 14a EnWG data from smart meters, but also real-time data with high-resolution status of the Low and Medium voltage grid, together with additional environmental information and factors.
