👥 Yesterday, the I-SEAMORE Project Coordinator Ricard Munné participated in the METICOS EU final event, as one of the main panellists in the session "Fostering Collaboration: The BES Cluster innovates for the future of Border Control”. ➡️ During the session, the technical solution for the I-SEAMORE integrated ecosystem for maritime surveillance was presented along with the research methodology, pilot activities and other key project results. #PROMENADE project joined the dedicated session to the #BesCluster at the METICOS EU FinalEvent, with a special highlight on the mandatory role of the partners in this collaboration. Today CERIDES - Center of Excellence in Risk and Decision Sciences European University Cyprus is participating in the Final event of the #METICOSproject in Brussels! CERIDES is the proud co-ordinator of the 38-month METICOS Project with Project co-ordinator Dr. Pantelis Velanas, PhD and Research Associate - Quality Assurance Manager Mrs. Christiana Themistocleous. The consortium is presenting the METICOS platform, its challenges and results in the process of navigating the #EUBoarderControl landscape to an esteemed stakeholders’ group with representatives,among others, from the#eu-LISA, the #EuropeanCommission and #REA. Panelists are discussing opportunities for collaboration and ways of bridging #innovativeresearch with the current business realities in a world where #securityrequirements are becoming more and more robust due to emerging cross-border control threats. Furthermore, METICOS EU is leading the #BorderExternalSecurityCluster (BES) aiming to foster engagement and strengthening the partnerships among its members. The Cluster aims to foster innovation in future in border control technologies and activities.
