*News Alert*   📢 Dimitrios Myttas Head of Border Control and Security Sector at the Center for Security Studies (KEMEA), recently participated at the CERIS Workshop On Innovation For Maritime Situational Awareness And Security, organized in Brussels on the 19th of February. 💡 The NESTOR project Project Manager actively contributed to the “Session I: Innovation for integrated information management and sharing”, offering information on the project’s mission and objectives, as well as the achieved results.   NESTOR project established a fully functional, next generation, holistic and deployable Border Surveillance System, providing pre-frontier situational awareness beyond maritime and land border, capable of detecting, assessing and efficiently responding to illegal activities, while following the concept of the European Integrated Border Management.     ❕ The CERIS workshop is a great opportunity to bring together EU-funded projects of innovative European technologies and share the latest updates in the field, from autonomous platforms to data fusion, presenting further opportunities of cooperative and integrated information management while further discussing the efficient exploitation of research results.     #NESTOR #innovation #security #ceris #workshop #EUProjects

It’s always a pleasure to represent Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) in important networking occasions, such as the Security Research Event 2023, hosted in Brussels on the 24th and 25th of October. SRE 2023 provided the opportunity to exhibit the results and achievements of NESTOR project and Promenade - EUH2020, as projects that offer key solutions and innovative tools for effective and holistic Border Management through land and maritime. As Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) our participation in events of such significance broaden our horizons for further successful collaborations, aligned with the EU values. 📣 NESTOR project is glad to announce its participation at the annual Meeting of the Security Research Event (SRE), which will take place in Brussels on 24 and 25 October 2023. Event Participation! 📢 NESTOR project proudly joined this year’s International Defense and Security Exhibition - DEFEA - Defence Exhibition Athens 2023, held on the 9th-11th of May at the Athens Metropolitan Expo. Following the 18-month duration of the project, Center for Security Studies (KEMEA) exhibited its assets and presented its results along with Hellenic Police. Additionally, NESTOR project was part of the presentation of the DEFEA ACADEMY on Piloting, Validation and Best Practices of Innovative Border Management Solutions, introduced by Center for Security Studies (KEMEA).
