IMMERSION has been working with RENAULT in order to bring mixed reality (MR) technology in its design, production and quality control processes. Hololens-based hat for industry 4.0 (Video Demo) allows to engineers to see decision-making instructions that will guide them through the most complex control operations. REVIIIEW is a mixed reality application to visualize and interact with 3D content in use cases carried by the Factory of the Future (FoF).
ChatBots are easy-to-use conversational agents that can act as assistants of engineers in the factory, using the data gained from sensors to guide the engineers and technicians during daily workflows. Partner INFOLYSiS designs and develops chatbot assistants, which use the data gained from sensors to assist engineers in their decisions (video demo).
ANITA EZ consoles (Video Demo) are recognized worldwide by industries, such as aircraft constructors, as the most appropriate equipment for the repair by bonding of high performances surfaces and structures. Their design and process handling benefit of twenty years of GMI AERO commitment in composite fabrication and repair. They are conceived as portable systems, light, handy for field application and their operations have been optimized to be extremely simple to use by shop technicians.
ININ provides the rMON system, a distributed monitoring solution with 5G and NFV-ready system capabilities designed for deployment of IoT/M2M based remote sensing in industrial environments. It features a distributed architecture and comprises a cloud-based management system for remote gateway and sensors control, an IoT/M2M gateway family with various communication modules (WiFi, 2G/3G/4G/5G, Eth).
In factories, there are constantly cases of people not wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e. hardhat, safety glasses, protective gloves, respirators, etc. As a result, injuries at work and dangerous situations occur, and, thus, a tight collaboration between humans and machines is expected. CAF Analyzer uses computer vision software to detect whether or not PPE is being worn by employees and provides near real time a warning signal directly to the control room when any element of PPE equipment is not being detected.
The ML-driven Anomaly Detection system for Industrial Processes of partner QuComm provides the means of detection and classification of network anomalies that influence industrial performance, contribute to information leakage, and potentially breech multitenant isolation. The streamlined operation in a FoF environment is critical. Before Industry 4.0 initiative most factories networks were isolated using proprietary protocols or non-IP networks.
8BELLS L7-aware White Box Switch enables an intelligent traffic steering mechanism, able to optimize the number and sequence (chain) of service functions. Dynamic SFC can now be based on higher layer inspection (Layer 7), i.e., traffic identification and classification at the application layer. The product is based on an OpenStack-compatible Open Virtual Switch (OVS), which has been extended so as to be able to collaborate with the 8BELLS Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) VNF.
FOGUS SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solution combines ELK (Elasticsearch – Logstash – Kibana) stack and OSSIM (Open Source Security Information Management) tools to provide a complete log management and event visualization system, including features such as data analysis, system monitoring, threat assessment and automated management. The solution aggregates data from multiple heterogeneous systems and analyse that data to catch anomaly behaviour or cyberattacks.
Blockchain Data Brokerage Engine from IQBT is a Hyperledger Fabric blockchain prototype used to enable trust and privacy in data brokerage and sharing, applicable in data marketplaces and for internal knowledge sharing and collaboration needs within and across an organization.
Mobile Robot TIAGo (Demo Video 1 | Demo Video 2) is provided with a mobile base, a lifting torso, a head, an articulated arm with a dexterous hand. Such elements, altogether with the numerous sensors, computers and programming integrated, enable the robot to safely interact with the environment and undertake any task that requires perception, mobility and manipulation skills. The TIAGo’s abilities make the robot suited for the light industry too, helping with daily tasks of light manipulation and support.
Unmanned Life’s Autonomy-as-a-Service platform (Video Demo) addresses all the problems related to the centralized control of autonomous mobile robots. Due to its open platform approach, Unmanned Life’s solution fits well to the FoF environment and allows the extension of the robot functionality with additional sensors hence bringing together the robotic ecosystem.
Smart irrigation is an important aspect of precision agriculture and for sustainability. UMA and CSIC collaborates on the creation of a smart irrigation system that leverages the information collected by the sensors and drone imagery in order to optimize the usage of hydric resources.
