Our boiler retubing projects can include the same advanced features and designs as our OEM package boilers resulting in improved performance and longevity.

B&W applies our knowledge and experience gained from supplying more than 5000 industrial water-tube boilers to boiler retubing projects. While other suppliers most often provide repairs or replacements “in-kind” based on standard drawings which may not exactly reflect the tube arrangement, we can reference accurate, contract-specific drawings to verify design accuracy. We can also improve boiler operation and longevity with a wide range of potential design upgrades, making our retubing solution a superior long-term investment.

Design benefits

B&W’s standard retube offerings are designed to fit existing configuration

  • Gas-tight membraned outer walls – Inhibits dewpoint sulfur corrosion, hot spots and outages caused by flue gas leaks.
  • Solid membraned division wall – Prohibits furnace gases from bypassing generating tubes, improving CO and NOx emissions compared to flat studded walls.
  • Sloped furnace floor – Eliminates floor brick resulting in capital savings on material and labor while eliminating future costs of floor brick maintenance. Additionally, increases furnace heat absorption to reduce NOx.
